Mobile Tech News Overload!

Okay, where do I start?

So I ordered my N95-3 today, and it may take a while for it to ship from the looks of things. I'm excited, and can't wait to get my hands on the black and silver beast. But that's not the best of the awesome news today...

Reuters reports news of Intel wining the mobile WiMAX chip deal with Nokia. Other sources add that Nokia has stated there will be WiMAX-enabled Internet Tablets using the new Intel chips in the first half of 2008.

Next up, a new rumor from AppleInsider around a third Apple device utilizing a multi-touch screen has been making it's way around the web. The yet-to-be-seen device is also believed to be released sometime in the first half of 2008, which makes it a liable candidate for some Intel WiMAX chip love as well.

Speaking of WiMAX (again), Sprint let loose a bunch of info on additional support of it's Xohm WiMAX mobile broadband initiative today with PC makers Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Panasonic, and Toshiba expressing interest in including the WiMAX tech in future laptops and UMPCs.

I imagine this is only the beginning of the WiMAX extravaganza, and it will only become more exciting as further news unfolds about the technology behind it. There's going to be a lot more action in the mobile tech industry from here on, and you can bet we'll cover (and even be a part of) that action with all we've got. Stay tunned...
